A la Carte Wedding Flowers

February 13, 2025 By ZuZusPetals Leave a Comment

Planning your wedding should be a joyful experience, and choosing your flowers is one of the most exciting parts! Our à la carte wedding flowers option is here to inspire, guide, and simplify the process for couples who want stunning floral arrangements without the commitment of a full-service florist.

Why Choose A la Carte Wedding Flowers Over Full Service?

Whether you’re envisioning a romantic bouquet, elegant centerpieces, or lush floral accents, we offer expert tips, trend insights, and real wedding inspiration to help you curate the perfect blooms for your big day. With the flexibility of à la carte ordering, you get high-quality, beautifully designed flowers—without the stress or hefty price tag of a custom floral package.

When opting for à la carte wedding flowers, couples are able to thoughtfully curate a selection of floral essentials to complement their big day instead of paying for a one-size-fits-all package. This flexible approach allows couples to focus on the arrangements they truly need, all while staying within their budget.

What Type of Arrangements Are Available When Choosing A La Carte?

A bridal bouquet is the star of the show, often featuring lush blooms that reflect the couple’s style and color palette. Bridesmaids’ bouquets are typically smaller, designed to coordinate beautifully with the bridal arrangement. These can also sometimes be used as centerpieces for the tables at the wedding ceremony. Boutonnieres for the groom, groomsmen, and other special family members add a refined touch, while additional ceremony pieces—such as altar arrangements or aisle markers—help set the scene for a romantic “I do.” The only items not available when using our a la carte services are those requiring installation, such as floral arches, as a la carte orders are pick-up only.

How Much Can I Expect To Pay For A La Carte Wedding Flowers?

Couples who choose an à la carte wedding flower package typically spend between $500 – $1,600 (before tax), depending on the number of floral pieces and the types of flowers selected. It’s important to remember that flower prices can vary depending on the style, season, and type of blooms chosen. Lush, premium flowers like peonies and garden roses will have a higher price point, while classic options like carnations and mums offer a more budget-friendly alternative.

Below is a sample cost breakdown to help plan your budget:

Essentials:

  • Bridal Bouquet – $250 to $400
  • Bridesmaids’ Bouquets (each) – $85 to $150
  • Boutonnieres (each) – $25 to $40
  • Corsages (each, for mothers/grandmothers) – $40 to $50

Ceremony Flowers:

  • Floral Aisle Markers (each) – $35 to $350
  • Floral Arch (full or partial) – $700 to $1,200

Reception Flowers:

  • Low Centerpieces (each) – $85 to $200
  • Tall Centerpieces (each) – $250 to $400
  • Sweetheart Table Arrangement – $100 to $350
  • Cake Flowers – $35 to $120

Sample Budget Scenarios:

1 bridal bouquet
2 small bridesmaids’ bouquets

$1,000+tax Budget

Featured: All-White Floral Arrangements at a Little White Chapel

A groom kisses his bride's cheek, surrounded by all-white floral arrangements in a little white chapel.

Finding the Right Location

Nayelli and Aaron’s quest for the perfect setting to begin their lifelong journey together was marked with an expectation for a place that could mirror the warmth and love they share. Finally their search concluded with the charming Lincoln Chapel, an iconic little white chapel nestled in the Texas Hill Country. This solid concrete venue offers a modern, but intimate ambiance for couples looking to keep things cozy. Surrounded by breathtaking all-white floral arrangements and their closest friends and family last October, their wedding was a lovely representation of everything they had dreamed of.

Choosing an All-White Floral Style

Nayelli came to us envisioning a monochromatic, modern bouquet made of roses. She also wanted matching all-white floral arrangements combining roses and baby’s breath. We elevated these atop white columns and flanked the glass doors, providing a gorgeous backdrop for their stylish ceremony. There are hundreds of varieties of both roses and baby’s breath, which gave us a wide selection to choose from. For these designs we decided on Tibet, Polar Star, Moonstone, and Playa Blanca roses, and both Million Star and Xlence White for the baby’s breath. Having a diverse collection helped all of the shades of white blend together seamlessly.

A bride's long trail splays out on a rock as she clutches her all-white bridal bouquet and poses with her groom in front of the 360 Bridge in Austin, Texas.
A bride and groom kiss in the background as the dog in their laps smiles at the camera.

After their ceremony, Nayelli and Aaron took a trip into Austin with their photographer, Kersten at Availeth Photography, to take more breathtaking couple photos. Any Austinite will definitely recognize this popular location! The Pennybacker Bridge, most commonly known as the 360 Bridge, spans across Lake Austin and makes for a fun background. Once again her all-white bridal bouquet provided an elegant addition to their photos. But the real winner was their adorable pup, who looked very dapper in his matching black and white bandana. We had a blast working with Nayelli and Aaron and wish them all the best!

La Jefa

July 20, 2023 By ZuZusPetals Leave a Comment

Hello! My name is Jesica and I am the manager of ZuZu’s Petals!

To start off, I’d like to talk a little about my background and where I came from!

I was born in Jalpan de Serra, Queretaro. It is a small town in the heart of the Sierra Gorda. I was there until I was a little under three and then moved to the United States for a brighter future! We often visited when I was growing up to see family and enjoy the culture and food. I still have my favorite taco stand!

As you can see in some of the photos the land is very mountainous, so I know this is where my love of mountains came from.

I met my husband when we both decided to attend Texas State University. I graduated in 2015, being the first person in my whole family to graduate from a University making the orgullo VERY big. My parents worked so hard to give my brother and I a great future so that was one of my highlights in my life.

I studied Art and Mass Communications at Texas State as I have always loved colors, painting and all other art forms.

The main activity my husband and I like doing is going to concerts ! I’ve seen almost everyone I have ever wanted to see and I could see Opeth and Gojira a million times over and over and never get tired of them. I’d love to work with any of my favorite bands and bring some metal floral art to them! @opeth @gojira *wink wink*

My husband and I move to Austin in 2016, started a family and got “officially” married in 2019. We knew we wanted a small intimate wedding and after visiting Colorado we knew we had to go back to our rock in the mountains to seal the deal.

We told our families of our news and a few of them traveled with us and stayed at the cutest cabin ever! I had my great friend Danielle Johnson fly all the way from Florida to capture these amazing images that will stay with me forever.

The weather was amazing, the air was so clean and the trees were just turning the soft yellow that we were wanting. It was beautiful in every way and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting to say yes to my forever best friend

I travelled with my bouquet I made all the way to Colorado because I wanted to make sure I had something that I liked and that fit the vibe of the wedding. I was able to create a stunning bouquet from the training I had received at the shop and the dry floral I had obtained from past weddings. I love that I can create art with living or dried and preserved items. Art that lives in images that people keep forever!

So if I have made floral for you, I genuinely appreciate the trust you put in me to execute your vision. I love creating big installations and small tiny details like corsages and boutonnieres. I use to be really into boho pampas grass weddings but now I really love bright and happy weddings! I’ve also seen a lot of crystals being used in bouquets and I am absolutely here for it!

I love the hard-working team that we have created and I can’t wait to see what we can tackle and all the fun things that we make! I am so proud of the teamwork and efforts made by our designers and have never felt more motivated than in this moment!

My next goal for the studio is to make a destination wedding happen 😉

Modern Fall Wedding

March 16, 2023 By ZuZusPetals Leave a Comment

Form the moment we met with Brookelyn and Laura we fell in love with their love, the way they looked at each other and the care they had for one another was so beautiful! Looking through their gallery proved just that, smiles throughout the whole album! Come take a look at one of our favorite weddings from last fall and see how all the details came together to create this wonderful day!

We had dried several items in our studio to use for this special day. Things that we had saved from previous weddings and open houses. So much thought and detail went into this day!

Our favorite part of this whole wedding was the modern disco ball details and the toffee roses 💕

The wedding party was SO much fun! All the different dresses were such a great addition. How great is it to be surrounded by this group of loving friends and family!

Also, take a look at the amazing portraits they took. I mean come on, would you just look at them! Thank you Brookelyn and Laura for trusting us with your big day and for letting us be apart of your memories. Thank you for all the vendors involved for making the day run smoothly and beautifully!

A Tropical Summer Wedding

March 2, 2023 By ZuZusPetals Leave a Comment

We can’t wait to share this wedding with you! Our amazing Studio Manager, Jesica, took the lead on this Tropical Summer wedding for Kelly and Ryan – and completely blew it out of the water! This wedding took place at the beautiful Villa Antonia, and the tropical-inspired floral designs were the perfect match for this unique space. Jesica and the team used a variety of tropical blooms and foliages in shades of white and green to bring this couple’s design vision to life. Some of the fresh materials used were monstera leaves, king protea, orchids, ti leaves, teepee ferns, pampas grass, roses, and more! Let’s take a stroll through this beautiful wedding together…

The boutonnieres were simple and elegant, and included a white orchid with fresh foliage – wrapped in a white satin ribbon. The bridesmaid bouquets included a mix of white floral and tropical foliage, and they were the perfect accessory to carry for this event. Kelly’s bridal bouquet was absolutely stunning – check out those double asiatic lilies!

Our team used a gold octagonal metal piece from Mancino Iron Rentals as the base for a breathtaking ceremony design! Adorned with monstera leaves, king proteas, roses, double lilies and more – this design brought the terrace to life while creating the perfect frame for Kelly and Ryan to say their vows. Simple glass vases with tropical foliage, and a sprinkling of fresh rose petals dressed the aisle.

There’s just something about the flickering of candlelight, and fresh foliages that really brings a space together – right?! We used both to accent the fireplace and staircase leading to the reception area.

There were so many gorgeous photos taken by the talented Angela King that it was hard to narrow it down, but here are a few more of our favorites from this beautiful day!

Thank you so much for asking the team at ZuZu’s Petals to design your wedding flowers, Kelly and Ryan! We loved working with you, and we wish you all the best!!

Sky Blue and Blush Wedding Overlooking the Texas Hill Country

February 23, 2023 By ZuZusPetals Leave a Comment

Our talented designer, Shannon, took the lead on creating these gorgeous floral designs for Chelsea and Bill’s Spring wedding. This couple wanted whimsical, garden-inspired designs with a color palette that incorporated shades of blush, cream, sage, and a frosty sky blue. To bring the design vision to life, Shannon chose a selection of seasonal greenery and blooms including seeded eucalyptus, hypericum berries, dusty miller, stock, Queen Anne’s lace, roses, spray roses, thistle, delphinium, and tulips. The flowers looked and smelled amazing!

The outdoor ceremony took place on the terrace of Villa Antonia, a unique venue overlooking the stunning Texas Hill Country! To dress up and soften the space, our team placed two fresh greenery garlands along the aisle. Next, we placed our gold metal pedestals up front, topped with beautiful floral designs inside of white ceramic compote containers. This was the perfect frame for Chelsea and Bill to share their vows in front of their loved ones.

The bees were definitely enjoying our flowers that day too!

Can we just take a minute to soak in and appreciate all of the different textures used here?! When creating floral designs, especially when looking to achieve a garden-inspired vibe, it’s important to use a variety of materials so that you have textural interest. You have the soft and fuzzy dusty miller, contrasted by the prickly thistle…then you have the delicate and small blooms from the Queen Anne’s lace, contrasted by the larger and smooth textured-blooms from the tulips. So gorgeous!

When there’s a grand staircase leading into the reception space, why not have some fun with it? 🙂 We carefully draped wild smilax vines along the banisters, then dressed up the bottom of the stairs with a few fresh blooms for a hint of color. The guest table centerpieces included gold stands, topped with a floral design in our gold mercury compote containers to tie everything together. We added in a trio of votive candles, and voila! These centerpieces added height while also allowing guests to still see each other and hold conversation when seated for dinner.

Chelsea and Bill, thank you so much for asking ZuZu’s to design and create your wedding floral designs! We loved working with you and your amazing team of vendors, and we wish you nothing but happiness!

Lavender and Sage Wedding in Downtown Georgetown

February 16, 2023 By ZuZusPetals Leave a Comment

Our design team worked together to create beautiful floral designs for the wedding of Allie and Luis! We incorporated shades of lavender, plum, lilac, sage, and white for this sweet couple’s wedding day. We selected a variety of fresh greenery and blooms including ranunculus, clematis, scabiosa, roses, waxflower, and eucalyptus to bring everything together. This sweet October wedding took place at the beautiful Wish Well House, located in the historic district of downtown Georgetown, Texas.

The bouquets and boutonnieres were the perfect compliment to the Bridal Party attire – loved how the flowers popped against the lilac bridesmaid gowns and the light gray suits worn by the groomsmen.

The outdoor ceremony space included fresh floral designs along the aisle and in the altar area. Placing these designs on the ground was a great way to add softness and a touch of color to the space.

The natural light streaming through the reception area, mixed with wooden farmhouse tables, and clean lines created the perfect canvas for simple and sweet centerpieces. We placed loose greenery along the center of each table, with a few clear glass bud vases with pops of fresh blooms. To finish off the look, we sprinkled in votive candles throughout.

Here are a few of our other favorite highlights from the wedding!

Thank you for asking ZuZu’s Petals to design your wedding flowers and to be a part of your special day, Allie and Luis! We wish you all the best!

A Bohemian Autumn Wedding

February 9, 2023 By ZuZusPetals Leave a Comment

This gorgeous September Wedding was designed by our very own Shannon! She worked with a beautiful color palette, reminiscent of Autumn – including shades of burgundy, copper, chocolate, ivory, and beige. Shannon selected roses, pampas grass, copper beech foliage, grevillea, upright amaranthus, ranunculus, and magnolia branches to create all of the floral designs. The textures were the perfect blend for this Autumn Wedding!

The ceremony space was brought to life with a wooden circular structure, adorned with an asymmetrical floral design. We lined the aisle with our Amber glass growler jugs, which created a nice contrast against the white chairs and lightly colored walkway.

This bridal bouquet was lush and whimsical, and it complimented the bride’s exquisite wedding gown beautifully!

The views at Villa Antonia are stunning! There are so many places for our designers to add in a creative flair, like the trailing greenery along the staircase, and the terrace overlooking the Austin hill country.

We are so grateful that this sweet couple asked us to be a part of their special day, and gave us the opportunity to design their wedding flowers!

A Styled Shoot at One of Our Favorite Venues

February 2, 2023 By ZuZusPetals Leave a Comment

The Design Team at ZuZu’s Petals worked together to create a stunning display of fresh flowers at one of our favorite wedding and event venues, Wish Well House. This beautiful venue is located in the historic downtown area of Georgetown, TX and has a unique history! Our designers wanted to showcase a garden-inspired color palette and an array of lush blooms. The floral selection included clematis, parrot tulips, scabiosa, sweet peas, lilac, roses, eucalyptus, smilax, ranunculus, and more.

Jesica, our Studio Manager, used her background in art to design, craft, and print all of the paper goods too!

The Cocktail Lounge was the perfect location to add pops of floral for color. Don’t you love the furniture? And the natural light streaming in those gorgeous windows?

This head table design featured one floral centerpiece and loosely placed blooms and greenery down the center, and a few taper candles. Colorful, simple, and perfect!

The white walls surrounding the bar area created an ideal backdrop for fresh floral accents and trailing greenery. We loved dressing up this space!

A free-standing bar with a cute saying in balloon letters, AND flowers, AND candles? Yes, please!

Did you know that purple and yellow are two colors that are opposite on the color wheel, which makes them super complementary to each other?

Thank you for reading our blog! We hope you enjoyed viewing these designs as much as we enjoyed creating them!

Jewel Toned Wedding at Villa Antonia

January 26, 2023 By ZuZusPetals Leave a Comment

The Design Team at ZuZu’s had a wonderful time working with this amazing couple! Led by Jesica, Studio Manager Extraordinaire and Designer, the fresh flowers for this wedding included roses, orchids, ranunculus, scabiosa, tulips, sweet peas and more. Jesica diligently worked with this couple throughout the pandemic, and was thrilled to finally bring their vision to life on their special day, nearly three years after booking with ZuZu’s Petals! The color palette included moody jewel tones of violet, wine, plum, and amethyst – along with hints of lavender and crimson red.

Don’t you love those fresh pieces of fruit?! The pomegranates, grapes, raspberries, and blood oranges were the perfect addition to the centerpieces and really tied the color palette together in a creative way!

This cozy ceremony space at Villa Antonia included two fresh floral designs that framed Leigh and Robert perfectly, along with a touch of greenery on the soft paneling to bring everything together.

To keep the focus on the Bride and Groom, Jesica kept the Bridesmaid Bouquets simple with greenery and a touch of white floral. The baby’s breath provided a sentimental touch in honor of Leigh’s Grandmother.

Thank you for asking us to design your beautiful wedding flowers, Leigh and Rob – it was a pleasure working with you!
